Marriage & Family Therapy Student Intern

Tannre graduated from East Carolina University with her Bachelors of Art is Psychology along with minors in Alcohol & Drug Studies, Human Development & Family Science, & Leadership Studies. She also received graduate Certificates in Military & Trauma Counseling & Behavior Specialism. Tannre is currently a graduate student at Capella University where she is pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. She anticipates graduating from her program in September 2024, intending to continue working in the mental health field.

Tannre has a wide range of experience working with children as young as three-years-old up to older adults, as well as backgrounds with military & LGBT cultures. Her approach to therapy follows closely with Emotionally Focused Therapy theory – with a strong focus in attachment styles, emotional regulation, communication skills, and boundaries. Tannre is a person-first therapist in training, believing that everyone deserves to be met with open arms. Tannre is primarily focused on working with children & youth, LGBT families & individuals, military families & individuals, & individual therapy across backgrounds & circumstances.

Tannre recently relocated to the Emerald Coast in May of 2022 from North Carolina. She enjoys reading, cooking & baking, playing & listening to music, & spending time with her family. She loves traveling & visiting new places – especially when she can bring her golden retriever, Scooter, alon
