Cara Marion

Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, State of Florida

Cara focuses on the mind, body, and spirit wellness model, and she uses various treatment modalities as instruments to empower individuals and families to overcome personal and professional difficulties. With her many years of experience in the military as both enlisted and an officer, Cara has a special affinity for military families including the service member, spouse, children and extended family.

Cara is a certified PREPARE/ENRICH premarital, marital, and blended family professional and has specialized training in trauma recovery (EMDR) to treat trauma and other stress-related disorders. In addition, her work at the Friary of Lakeview Center helped her to understand and treat those individuals and families dealing with addictions, and her commitment to recovery is steadfast. Cara’s most rewarding education and training is the use of Biblical integration with treatment modalities when clients are seeking to address spiritual aspects of wellness.

In her free time, Cara enjoys spending time with her husband and their three teenagers, traveling and engaging in any and all sports and outdoor activities such as boating, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, snow skiing, and hiking. As ardent Chicago Cubs fans, Cara and the family also spend time traveling to different venues throughout the country each season to cheer on their beloved Cubbies!
