Claire Jones, M.S.
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Claire is a recent graduate of Troy University where she completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience working with children and adults of various needs and backgrounds. In particular, she enjoys working with children and their families and takes a holistic approach such that allows her to take into consideration family strengths, faith, and culture. Claire has experience working in foster care/crisis intervention and is able to address issues related to trauma, grief, and substance.
In her practice, Claire primarily treats children, adolescents, individuals, and families through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family therapies; however, she also utilizes other treatment modalities that can be integrated and work well with CBT such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
I take a special interest in working with families to resolve conflict, improve communication, and create connections. I also strive to provide inclusive care to any client, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. My philosophy of therapy is to create an environment that is both collaborative and supportive. I want to work with you to explore issues, establish goals and decide the best path forward.
Life’s journey is often marked by unforeseen challenges, moments of confusion, and periods of emotional distress. It’s during these times that having someone to walk alongside you can make all the difference. If you’re reading this, know that you’re not alone. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you and start your journey back to your best self.
