Many insurance plans cover or reimburse for mental health care. Plans do differ in regard to such issues as number of visits allowed, deductibles and co-pay amounts, need for a referral from your primary-care physician, and incentives or requirements to see therapists within a preferred provider network. Because each insurer’s contract is different, we cannot tell you exactly what will be covered until we verify your specific insurance benefits.

When you schedule your initial appointment with one of our therapists, we will ask if you would like us to contact your insurance company and get information regarding the issues above. Our therapists are pre-approved for many of the major insurance plans common in our area (e.g.; Tricare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, UBH, , Military One Source, ValueOptions), and we can usually take care of the paperwork your insurer may require. We are happy to guide you through this part of the modern health-care maze–please feel free to talk with us about your insurance questions. However, please remember that our professional relationship is with you and not your insurance company. Your fee may vary depending on your insurance carrier, service provided, and therapist.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the law, all non-insured or self-paying clients are entitled to a “Good Faith Estimate.” This means that you have the right to know what the expected cost of services will be to you and/or your family. You can also ask your health care provider or your therapist to discuss fees with you before you schedule or receive services. For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
